An install recently
This isn’t how I finished up this installation, but it gives you a pretty good idea of what things looked like during the process.
At this stage, I still had one more wire to run, wire loom to install, zip ties to add, and final testing to complete before calling it done.
One thing that may stand out is the labels on the wiring. Every wire was labeled for future reference. Hopefully nobody ever needs them, but if troubleshooting, upgrades, or modifications are needed years from now, having properly identified wiring can save a lot of time and frustration.
Overall, the installation went smoothly. The biggest challenge wasn’t the wiring. It was working through 85-degree temperatures with humidity hovering around 70%.
Sometimes people only see the finished product and assume it all comes together in a few minutes. The reality is that a clean, reliable installation takes planning, attention to detail, and a lot of time spent in conditions that aren’t always comfortable.
The good news is everything worked as expected, the final testing passed, and another trailer is a lot more secure than it was when the day started.
