Back at it

We’re dusting off an old project and giving it another run.

This is a portable alarm setup built into a waterproof case. Simple. Basic. Meant to get the job done without overcomplicating things.

I put this on the shelf about a year ago. Like a lot of projects, it came down to one issue.

Power.

This week, a friend I’ve known for over 10 years mentioned she had a client who might need something exactly like this. That was enough to pull it back out and take another look.

Same challenge still staring right at me.

• Needs to be compact
• Needs to last
• Needs to be reliable

That combination sounds easy until you actually have to build it.

The alarm side is the easy part. Powering it properly without turning this into a brick is where the real work is.
