Busy work

Some might consider this busy work. And in a sense, it is.

But someone has to do it, so today the low man on the totem pole got the glamorous job of cutting a pile of 3-inch wires and adding crimp connectors to each one.

That low man would be me.

Since we’re now mounting the brake safety toggle switch directly onto the enclosure, we needed to make a small change in how everything gets wired. We already have plenty of the existing toggle switches on hand, so there’s no reason to replace perfectly good parts just because the mounting location changed.

Cut the wires. Strip the wires. Crimp the connectors. Repeat more times than you care to count.

Nothing exciting. Nothing revolutionary. Just one of those little production changes that makes use of what we already have and keeps everything moving forward.

And apparently, owning the company still doesn’t come with enough seniority to get out of wire-cutting duty.
