Changes were made

About 2.5 years ago we started building our own GPS alarm system and made the transition from the PTS-2G to the G2.

Getting there wasn’t as simple as changing GPS hardware. We had to work with a new hardware manufacturer, build out the backend programming, and change some of our own internal processes. Like most things, we learned a few lessons along the way.

Our original plan was to finish programming the systems when the customer powered them up for the first time. On paper it sounded like a good idea. In the real world, cellular coverage doesn’t always cooperate.

So we changed the process.

Now every G2 is programmed here before the system is fully assembled. Once programming is complete, a blue mark is placed on one corner of the label so everyone knows that step is finished. The technician who programmed it also places their personal code in a hidden location inside the unit. If there’s ever a question down the road, we know exactly who completed that part of the process.

Small changes like this don’t make flashy advertisements, but they make a better product and a smoother experience for our customers.

Sometimes the biggest improvements come from fixing the little things that most people never see. That’s just part of building something better.
