Easiest explanation

I have been trying to explain this and make it as simple as possible for people to understand, and this is the best analogy that I came up with.

If your TV breaks, the TV station doesn’t stop broadcasting.
You just can’t see it until you fix or replace the TV.

That’s how our system is built.

The server that had the issue is the “TV.”
It handles the interface you use to access the system.

The actual data lives somewhere else.

So when the server went down, the data stayed safe and intact the entire time.
