Good-bye, so long

Some products stick around for years because they solve a problem.

The PTS-2P is one of those.

It has been part of our trailer security lineup for even longer than the 21+ years we’ve been in business. Instead of sending text messages or GPS alerts, this system would page a simple, old-school wireless pager whenever the alarm was triggered.

With a range of up to 1/2 mile in ideal conditions, it was a great option for racers spending the night in a hotel, grabbing dinner after the races, or letting a crew member know they needed to get back to the trailer.

Best of all, there was never a monthly or yearly service fee.

As technology changed, so did customer preferences. Text notifications, GPS tracking, and remote control became the features most people wanted.

It’s been about five years since we sold one of these directly to a customer, and around four years since one of our dealers ordered one.

That isn’t a bad thing. It simply means technology moved forward, and so did we.

That also means we’re down to our last two brand-new PTS-2P systems.

We’ve moved them into the Closeout section of our website, and they’re already discounted. Once these two are gone, that’ll officially be the end of an era for one of the longest-running products we’ve ever offered.

Some technology fades away quietly.
