Good ground matters more than you think
Share
A weak ground will kill signal, cause false alarms, erratic GPS, and constant troubleshooting.
In 20 years of doing and seeing installs, we see the same root cause more than 90 percent of the time. Bad ground.
• Good ground keeps your alarm and GPS honest.
• Poor ground causes random faults and dropped signals.
• Clean metal contact on the trailer frame.
• Sand paint and rust before you connect.
• Use quality ring terminals. Tighten to metal, not paint.
• Test with a meter to confirm low resistance.
