Growth
Growth isn’t just about selling more products.
Sometimes it’s about selling fewer.
As Trailer Alarms continues to grow across North America, we’re constantly looking at ways to simplify our manufacturing process, reduce inventory, and make better use of our shop space. It isn’t the glamorous side of running a business, but it’s the kind of work that pays off over time.
One change we’re working toward is using a single enclosure across our entire alarm product line.
That means fewer enclosure styles to stock, fewer brake safety toggle switch variations, fewer crimp connectors, and a simpler assembly process. It also means less shelf space tied up with parts that don’t move very often.
There’s another benefit for our customers.
If someone starts with one of our standard alarm systems and later decides to upgrade to a G2, the transition becomes much easier because the enclosure is already in place.
Does the larger enclosure cost us a little more? It does.
But reducing complexity, improving efficiency, and keeping fewer parts on the shelf more than offsets that added cost.
We’re always looking for ways to improve our products, our processes, and the experience for our customers. Sometimes those improvements happen out in the field. Other times they happen on a shelf in the shop.
Both matter.
