Two months of back-and-forth. Promises of a “for sure deal.” Then silence. Two weeks of my emails sat unanswered. So I finally wrote what I knew would get a reply: “Since I haven’t heard anything, I’m assuming the project is dead. I’m pulling my quotes and pulling out.” Funny how within 30 minutes I had a response from higher up the chain. Apologies, reassurances, and confirmation the project is still moving. Sometimes, the fastest way to get an answer is to stop chasing and just shake the tree.
