Let's start off with some Lyle.

I grew up in the Midwest, mostly in Missouri and Iowa. Racing was part of life early.

Most weekends were spent at tracks like Burlington and Knoxville watching sprint cars. A member of my family raced against some of the best drivers of the time. That environment sticks with you.

At 14, I started kart racing.

Dirt tracks. Street circuits. Sprint kart tracks. Large road racing events like Texas World Speedway.

Racing teaches you a few things fast.
Preparation matters. Equipment matters. And if you work hard to own something, you protect it.

Along the way I was fortunate to win several regional championships, honestly more than I kept track of. Racing also took me around the country, and I was able to win a national championship in a shifter kart class.

Those experiences shape how you look at equipment and risk.

In 2004, a close friend had his kart trailer broken into, twice.

That moment exposed a gap. Trailer security options were hard to find and poorly suited for real world use. Most were afterthoughts.

In 2005, I started Trailer-Alarms.com with a simple goal. I wanted it to be the Jegs for trailer security.

In 2015, I acquired ProTec System One and brought manufacturing of the PTS-2 trailer security system to Texas. Since then the product line has continued to grow, shaped by real world use and constant testing.

At the 2017 PRI show, one request came up again and again.

GPS tracking.

We partnered with a third party and had a working solution within six months. The hardware worked pretty well, but the server and software side were outside our control and not built the way we wanted.

In 2023, I started evaluating tracking platforms from manufacturers around the world.

That process eventually led to working directly with a manufacturer and bringing in developers to build the server and software platform the way we believed it should work. After extensive testing, the system launched in March 2024.

The result became G2.

A system designed specifically for trailer security, with lower long term costs and more control over how the platform performs.

Racing started this path.

Protecting what people work hard for keeps it going.
