Now That the NDA Has Expired: A Look Back at Our Time with Google Fiber
Share
Five years ago, we sold 20 of our top trailer security systems to a well-known tech company - Google Fiber.
At the time, their team was rolling out nationwide, and they needed a reliable way to protect the tools and equipment stored in their service vans and trailers. Naturally, they turned to us.
What followed was a lesson in how not to do business.
They came in with a long list of demands and expectations, many of which had nothing to do with performance or support, and everything to do with control. Their legal team wanted a one-sided contract that gave them all the leverage and left us boxed in. Their installers pushed for customizations that didn’t make sense, and their tone made it clear they thought their name alone was enough to dictate terms.
We didn’t play along.
We delivered solid systems. They worked. But we didn’t sign their lopsided agreement, and we walked away from further sales on our own terms.
Looking back, we have no regrets. We’re proud that even when one of the biggest names in tech came knocking, we didn’t compromise who we are or how we operate.
We’re still here, still growing, and still delivering real security; on our terms, not someone else’s.
