Once in a blue moon

One of the things that doesn't happen very often in this business is getting involved before a trailer is built.

More than 90% of the systems we sell are self-installed by the owner, so most of the time I'm not consulted during the design or construction phase. The trailer is already built, and we figure out the best way to integrate security into what already exists.

This project has been different.

I was provided the trailer blueprints before construction started and invited to be part of the design process. That allowed us to discuss security, wiring paths, equipment placement, future serviceability, and a number of other considerations before any component is installed.

For obvious security and safety reasons, a number of details have been removed from the blueprint shown here. What you're seeing is only a small portion of the actual design.

Getting involved this early doesn't happen often, but when it does, it creates opportunities to build security into the trailer from day one instead of working around obstacles later.

There's a big difference between adding a security system to a trailer and designing a trailer with security in mind from the beginning.

After more than 20 years in this business, it's still rewarding when a customer values planning and experience enough to bring us to the table before the first wire is ever run.
