Problems or opportunities

On a recent trip to Georgia, I served as a security installation advisor on a project.

During the install, we hit an issue that brought everything to a stop. The team wasn’t sure how to move forward.

After more than 20 years in this field, I’ve learned that when something doesn’t make sense, the best thing you can do is step back and look at the bigger picture.

That’s exactly what we did.

Once we looked beyond the immediate obstacle, the solution became clear and the project moved forward.

Experience isn’t knowing every answer. It’s knowing how to approach a problem when the answer isn’t obvious.

One quote that came to mind was:

“Problems are not just obstacles; they are opportunities to find solutions.”

Sometimes the solution is there the whole time. You just have to step back far enough to see it.
