Sometimes you have to tear your own work apart.
I pulled the mini trailer apart to rewire it. From the outside everything worked fine, but inside it had slowly turned into a rat’s nest of wires. Nobody ever saw it but me, and every time I needed to work on it I regretted leaving it that way.
So it came apart.
For this possible next quick trip I thought I would dig out a case I used before for demonstrations. It already has some of the harder parts finished, which means it will not take long to get it back up and running.
The bigger benefit is space.
• More room to route wiring cleanly
• Easier to work on if something needs attention
• Better layout for adding the GPS unit
• Much easier to show people how the system actually works
Sometimes the best fix is starting over and doing it the way it should have done the first time.
Nobody may ever see inside the box.
But I will.
