It’s crazy to me that doing a little testing and bringing production of an item in-house can cut costs by over 50%, even including labor.

It’s not some high dollar part. But when you go through enough of them, and buy in the quantities we do, it adds up fast.

Now we control the inventory ourselves and aren’t dependent on a single supplier either.

Funny thing is, this idea actually came from my wife.

She said, “You already produce other items in-house. Why not these too?”

Simple idea. Big savings.

Sometimes it takes somebody outside the day-to-day grind to point out what should have been obvious the whole time.
