“Upon further inspection, it looks like everything is here.”

We started Trailer Alarms, LLC more than 20 years ago to help prevent theft.

Ironically, we have had people try to steal from us too.

That tends to change how you do business. Humans are inventive, especially when doing dumb things.

A few years ago, we installed cameras covering our build and shipping areas. Three cameras now cover packaging.

This year, we added another layer.

Every order now includes a packing checklist, stapled to the instructions so it does not get separated.

That checklist includes:

• A camera reference code tied to the packaging process
• Initials from the person who packed the order
• A documented trail if a question comes up later

Why?

Accountability.

Verification.

Protection for the customer and for us.

Recently, a customer contacted us claiming items were missing from an order.

I replied that mistakes are possible, but not probable. I explained we would review the three cameras covering the packaging area, and I asked them to send me the camera reference code from the checklist.

Their reply?

“Upon further inspection, it looks like everything is here.”

That reply was gold.

The point is simple.

Security is not theory for us.

We do not just talk about theft prevention. We live it. We apply it to our own operation.

Because whether you are protecting a cargo trailer, inventory, or your own reputation, systems matter.

Checks matter.

Documentation matters.

And sometimes, cameras save a lot of unnecessary drama.

So yes, we deal with potential thieves too.

That is part of why we build what we build.

“Upon further inspection, it looks like everything is here.”
