You’d think “don’t steal the mobile vet clinic” would be common sense
Apparently not.
Here’s what this week looked like.
I was texting with one of our newest customers. They run a mobile veterinary clinic. Their trailer isn’t just equipment, it’s their entire business on wheels.
And where they’re located?
• Multiple trailers already stolen
• Several more broken into
So they made a decision most people wait too long to make. They got proactive.
They installed one of our alarm systems before something happened, not after.
They were also pretty fired up to let their insurance company know they didn’t just roll the dice and hope for the best. Turns out prevention still matters, even if insurance companies don’t always act like it.
What I liked even more?
They didn’t stop at the alarm.
They sent over photos of extra steps they took to secure their windows. Physical deterrents. Layers. The kind of stuff that makes a thief stop and move on to an easier target.
That’s the part people miss.
An alarm by itself is good.
Layers of security are better.
Noise. Lights. Brake lock.
Physical barriers.
Visible deterrents.
You’re not trying to make your trailer impossible to break into. You’re trying to make it not worth the effort.
Because thieves don’t want a challenge. They want easy.
This customer gets it.
They’re protecting their business, their equipment, and the animals they care for every day.
That’s how you stay ahead of the problem instead of becoming the next story someone else posts about.
