A: Pretty much all enclosed trailers
2. Do your trailer alarms work for both single and double-axle trailers?
A: Yes, although most single axle trailers do not typically have brakes, so that is a feature you wouldn’t use.
3. Are the alarms weatherproof and suitable for outdoor use?
A: No, our alarms must be mounted inside and away from wet conditions.
4. How loud is the alarm, and can the volume be adjusted?
A: The siren is approx. 120dB and is not adjustable.
5. Do your alarms have GPS tracking capabilities?
A: Yes, check our G2 system.
6. Is the alarm visible to deter potential thieves?
A: Because the alarm is mounted inside, most thieves will not see it. There is an optional LED to blink when armed.

7. Can the alarm system detect break-ins or tampering?
A: Yes, there are door sensors.
8. Does it include motion detection or vibration sensors?
A: Motion sensors are an optional add-on.
9. Can the alarm system notify me on my smartphone in case of an incident?
A: Yes, with either the PTS-2C or G2 units.
10. Is the system equipped with a backup battery in case of power failure?
A: The system is powered from a 12-volt car battery and needs to be regularly checked.
11. Can multiple trailers be monitored with the same system or app?
A: Yes, this is not a problem
12. Are there anti-theft locking mechanisms included with the alarm?
A: The system has an accelerometer on-board and also has door sensors.
Installation and Setup
13. Is the alarm system easy to install or do I need professional help?
A: It’s not “easy”, but it’s also not rocket science. We have many videos available to help.
14. Does the package include all necessary mounting hardware?
A: The wire and battery are not included.
15. Are there any specific tools required for installation?
A: Normal garage kept tools will normally suffice. A drill might also be needed.
16. Can the alarm be installed without drilling holes into the trailer?
A: No. To enable good ground and mount the hardware, holes will be made.
Compatibility and Integration
17. Is the alarm compatible with existing trailer locking systems?
A: Our system is a standalone system.
18. Can the system integrate with other security devices, like cameras?
A: Generally, not.
19. Does it require a specific power source, such as a 12V battery?
A: A good quality deep cycle battery is recommended. Consider a solar panel or a trickle charger to help.
Maintenance and Support
20. How often do the batteries need to be replaced or recharged?
A: Recharging depends on the usage as well as which system you have and how good a battery you purchased.
21. What is the lifespan of the product?
A: There is not really a life span for these. We have systems out there still that are older than 10 years.
22. Is there a warranty, and what does it cover?
A: A 5-year limited warranty that covers alarm board defects, not if it is installed incorrectly.
23. Do you offer technical support or troubleshooting assistance?
A: We have many videos linked through our website, as well as phone support if needed.
24. Are there any recurring fees, such as for monitoring or app access?
A: For the cellular and GPS systems there are yearly fees.

A: Those are handled on a case-by-case basis.

A: A user guide can be downloaded even before purchasing a system.

A: It will auto reset after 2-3 minutes.

A: No, standard 120db siren sound
31. Is there an option for local storage of GPS data or event logs?
A: No
32. Does the system support geofencing?
A: No. Movement of the trailer will set off the alarm.
33. What are the options for securing the alarm itself against tampering?
A: It should be mounted INSIDE the trailer.
34. Can I get alerts if the trailer is tilted or raised (e.g., for tire theft)?
A: There are 3rd party sensors that can be added.

36. What makes the G2 different from your basic trailer alarm systems?
A. The G2 combines traditional alarm features (siren, brake lock, door sensors) with cellular connectivity and GPS tracking. It can send text/email alerts and allow remote arming/disarming through the mobile web page.
37. Does the G2 require a subscription or yearly service fee?
A. Yes. The G2 requires a yearly service fee for cellular connectivity and GPS tracking.
38. Can I track my trailer in real time with the G2?
A. Yes. The G2 provides live GPS location updates through our site, so you can see where your trailer is at any time.
39. Will the G2 work outside the United States?
A. Yes. The North American version works in the USA and Canada on LTE Cat-M1 networks.
40. How does the G2 notify me of an alarm trigger?
A. It will sound the 120 dB siren, lock the trailer brakes, and send you a text/email notification through the cellular network.
41. Can I remotely disarm or reset the G2 if it goes off?
A. Yes. You can arm and disarm the G2 remotely thru the web.
42. Can the G2 monitor multiple trailers under one account?
A. Yes. Fleet owners can monitor multiple G2 units within the same account.
43. What happens if the G2 loses cellular signal?
A. It will continue to record and trigger alarms locally, then send alerts once it reconnects to the network.
44. What cellular network does the system use?
A. We utilize the AT&T network for cellular transmission.
45. Does the antenna need to be mounted on the exterior of the trailer?
A. Yes. The antenna contains not only the cellular antenna, but also the GPS antenna to get the location information from satellites.
