Quick Specs
- Connection: Simple 4-wire hookup to any PTS-2 alarm.
- Wire length: Leads are about 10 inches and must be spliced.
- Dimensions: Approx 4 x 5.5 x 2 inches.
Important: The leads are short on purpose. Do not pull on them trying to get more wire out.
Important Notes
- Not weatherproof. Install in a protected location.
- Set an entry or exit delay on the alarm system before use.
Startup and Power
- Startup time: About 2.5 minutes after power is connected.
- Restart time: About 2.5 minutes after power is restored.
- Power-loss safe: Internal microcomputer retains users and log files even if power is removed.
Wiring Connections
This keypad connects to any PTS-2 alarm using 4 wires. If the leads are too short for your installation, extend them by soldering and sealing the splices.
- Red: +12V
- Black: Ground
- Green: Key SW
- Blue: AUX
Password and Admin Area
- Default admin password: XXXX
- Test the system with the default password before changing it.
- If the password is forgotten, the unit must be returned for reset.
- Admin access: Press the Trailer-Alarms.com logo, then enter the admin password.
Admin Functions
- Add or remove users.
- View log files.
- Log retention: Logs are stored for a limited time. Heavy use overwrites older entries. Do not expect multi-month history.
